Why Does My AI Dance Video Look Wrong or Fail to Finish?
Troubleshoot changing faces, awkward hands, cropping, silent previews, waiting jobs and downloads. Learn when credits return and when a retry costs more.
Start by separating a visual problem from a failed task: a finished clip with an awkward face needs a different input or movement, while a task marked failed follows the automatic credit-return process. DimeDime Video, at dimedimebabydance.org, is a single-photo AI dance video tool. It combines your photo with one of four movement references; it cannot guarantee exact identity or anatomy in every frame.
Why does the face change during the dance?
A small, blurred or hidden face leaves less detail to work with. A turn may require a view that the original photo does not show.
Try a sharper photo with even lighting and a clearly visible face. Avoid strong beauty filters, sunglasses covering much of the face, and extreme camera angles. Review the reference for the moment where the change happens. Switching to a movement with fewer troublesome turns may be worth a separate test, but no template promises a fixed face throughout.
Keep the template and five-second duration unchanged while replacing only the photo. Follow the photo selection checklist before another attempt.
Why do hands, arms or feet look distorted?
Overlapping limbs, hands inside pockets and objects held across the body leave important shapes unclear. The generation may invent detail as those areas move. A photograph that looks attractive as a portrait is not necessarily easy to animate.
Use a photo with visible hands, separated arms and both feet inside the frame. Remove the obstacle by choosing another photograph; repeated generation cannot reliably reveal a hand that was hidden in the source. Avoid testing several changes at once. A completed clip with distorted fingers is still a completed generation, so another attempt uses additional credits.
Why is the person cropped or drifting out of frame?
Inspect the original photo and the whole reference movement. A tight crop leaves little room when a dancer steps sideways or toward the camera. Leave space above the head, beside the arms and below the feet, while keeping the person large enough for their face to be visible.
For example, replace a waist-up portrait with a vertical standing photo before trying a reference that includes steps. Do not stretch a small image to make it appear detailed. If you need a walkthrough of the controls, follow how to make an AI dance video.
Why is the preview silent?
The generator's template preview starts muted. Use the native video volume control, then check device volume and whether the browser tab is muted. A moving picture with its speaker control muted is not a failed generation.
Treat the reference and your downloaded result separately. Reference audio does not guarantee an audio track in the generated MP4. Play the downloaded file to check what it contains. If it needs music, add a track you are permitted to use; neither a template preview nor a credit purchase supplies music rights.
Why is the task still queued or rendering?
Processing time varies. An unchanged status does not, by itself, prove the task failed. Open My Creations in the account that submitted the job and allow the status to update. If your connection dropped, reconnect and check the existing task before starting another.
Avoid creating duplicates to see whether one finishes sooner. Each new generation has its own credit cost. There is no guaranteed completion time, and the length of the final clip is not the time required to generate it.
What happens when the status says Failed?
When the system marks a generation as failed, its credits are automatically returned. Refresh the task and balance before trying again. Improve the photo or choose a different reference if the displayed error suggests the image could not be animated.
This is a return of site credits, not a promise of a cash refund. A ready video that you dislike does not become a failed task because you delete it. Review costs and credit budgeting before retrying, or check the current credit packs.
Why can I not download the video?
Check that the task is Ready, you are signed in to the account that created it, and you are using that item's Download button in My Creations. A queued task has no finished file to download. If you were signed out, sign back in and try the existing result again.
For a ready item that still fails, check your connection and retry later. Keep the task record while seeking help; note its template, creation time, status and the message shown. Never send a password, verification link or reset link. Save a local copy when download works rather than relying on indefinite access.
Should I keep generating until one looks right?
Set a limit first. Five seconds costs 10 credits and ten seconds costs 15 credits. Use one permitted photo of an adult, change one variable and review the result. Do not use minors or public figures. A more modest concept from the video ideas guide may suit your available photo better than repeated identical attempts.
